Global Soil Restoration Network

“The survival of our next generations depends on global soil restoration”

We destroy the biosphere. We must restore now.

The urgent and massive task is restoration of global soil. We have new means to do so.

These rest on four bases:

We do not have dominion over the evolving biosphere. We must learn to co-create with it.

We can now learn to collaborate with co-evolving fungal bacterial soil communities to increase yield, increase soil carbon, increase water retention, improve nutrient recycling, reduce need for chemical fertilizer, and stably sequester atmospheric CO2 and other gasses in the soil.

We can now create a Global Creative Commons, a Distributed Peer Learning Network, that enables farmers everywhere to upload data from their fields, own that data, share it with chosen others, and coordinate research with one another to improve on the soil goals above.

We can now create new ownership rights of farmers for their best fungal bacterial composts to brand, sell, and improve.

With the structures sketched above, millions of farmers can become inventors as well as producers. This can distribute both shared global learning and wealth creation.

We invite you to join these efforts!
